POPULAR EDUCATION CURRICULUM FOR YOUR CHILD

At Kericho Montessori School, we teach a curriculum based on the Montessori method of Education. This method was developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori, who is best known for the philosophy of education that bears her name. The Montessori method of Education is an educational approach that is primarily child-centered and based on scientific observations of children. This method has been in use for over 100 years in many parts of the world. This method of education realizes that a child is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning. It therefore offers a thoughtfully prepared and supportive learning environment to enable the child to learn by being innovative. This method aims to develop children cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Below are the main steps we follow when admitting children to our school

Contact

The parent or guardian contacts us either through the means listed in our Contact us page or visiting us at school and requesting for admission of a child.

Application

The parent or guardian is given an admission request form that he or she fills in totality and hands over to the school administration for review and consideration.

Counseling

If the child qualifies for admission, he or she is taken through a counselling session as preparation for fitting into our learning environment.

Admission

The child is assigned an admission number and introduced to the teachers and classmates after which he or she is shown around the school.
